A fundraiser, organized by friends of a teenager killed while crossing the interstate, proved very successful.
Friends of 13-year-old Alexis Neace held a bake sale outside the Frankfort Walmart on Sunday.
The goal was to raise enough money for Neace's family to buy a headstone of her grave.
None of the baked goods had prices. Instead people donated whatever they could.
Friends say they surpassed their goal. They had hoped to raise $1,500.
