An investigation is underway after thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen from a maintenance building owned by the city of Frankfort.
Frankfort Police believe the theft happened last Wednesday, at the building on Highway 421 North.
Police say the thief pulled into the property, and hooked onto a trailer that had two Exmark mowers, three Stihl weed eaters, one Stihl backpack blower, and a Shindaiwa backpack sprayer.
All together, the items stolen were worth more than $12,000.
Police think the burglary happened during the day, while crews were out working.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 502-875-8648. Crime Stoppers may offer a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
