FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Flags at Kentucky state office buildings will be flying at half-staff on Wednesday in observance of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

It has been 70 years since 2,400 Americans died at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Declaration of War against Japan the following day.

Gov. Steve Beshear directed that flags be flown at half-staff in recognition of the day.
