People in Frankfort will soon have a chance to get rid of unused or unwanted medication.

Frankfort Police, the Franklin County Health Department and the U.S. DEA will hold a Medication Disposal Day Saturday, August 4th.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., people can drop off medication at the Franklin County Health Department at 851 East-West Connector Road in Frankfort.

Organizers say the program’s mission is to assist in removing unwanted, unused or otherwise dangerous drugs from the community to reduce the potential for medication abuse and misuse.
