Heavy rain causing problems in central Ky.

Heavy rainfall caused problems for drivers and others in central Kentucky Tuesday morning.

In Frankfort, Old Lawrenceburg Road near the Capital Parking Garage is closed because of a rock and mudslide. Officials say it will be cleaned up as soon as it is safe.

Earlier Tuesday, one lane of Wilkinson Boulevard was closed near Capital Plaza because of high water.

High water has closed a number of roads in Scott County.

Biddle Road is closed at the I-75 underpass. Sadieville Road is blocked at Hinton Sadieville Road in Sadieville.

Scott County Firefighters and others responded to a possible water rescue on Boyers Chapel Road in Sadieville. A driver was possibly stuck in the water.

In Lexington, Parkers Mill Rd was blocked at Bowman Mill Road because of high water.

A number of accidents were reported, especially along I-75 and I-64, during morning rush hour.

Harrison County Schools canceled classes for Tuesday. So far, no details have been released.

A stretch of Highway 1879 (Millersburg/Cynthiana Road) in Bourbon County, between mile points 1.5 and 3.0, is also closed due to high water.

High water has also covered part of Highway 169 in Woodford County.
