Lexington, July 13, 2012: The 9th Keeneland Concours d'Elegance will again be held at Keeneland Race Course, July 21 in Lexington, Ky, showcasing over 130 of the finest collector vehicles in the country. From rows of vintage antiques to impressive modern marvels … be there to see these rare automobiles, motorcycles and other unique vehicles on display as they judged for their historical accuracy, presentation and overall cleanliness. Each class winner and runner-up will receive an award and each entrant will receive a Bluegrass Award ribbon. Proceeds will benefit Kentucky’s Children’s Hospital.
This year's Concours features the Packard, an automobile that has always been synonymous with American flair, style, design and luxury. In addition to Concours vehicles, the Car Club Paddock is a favorite event element as club members proudly display their cars for spectators to enjoy. Last year's Paddock boasted over 14 different car clubs and approximately 425 members.
The Concours silent auction will be held Inside the Keeneland Entertainment Center. Available auction items are posted on www.keenelandconcours.com. Celebrating its 9th year, the Keeneland Concours d’Elegance showcases the finest in automobiles and the attractions of central Kentucky as, each year, more than a hundred exquisite examples of automotive history from across the U.S. gather on the lush grounds of the Keeneland Race Course.
