A Frankfort McDonald's destroyed by fire reopened Thursday morning.
The restaurant on Versailles road in Frankfort burned down in December 2010 and had been open for 37 years.
A crowd waiting for the rebuilt restaurant to reopen gathered beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday.
When doors opened Thursday morning, there was a line around the building.
"The community has been so supportive through all of this. It's been amazing," said owner Joe Graviss.
Around 80-percent of the crew from before the fire returned to work there.
The new building features wi-fi, high efficiency lighting and an outdoor patio with a water feature.
Firefighters think a heating unit sparked the fire back in December.
