New details released in crash that killed young man

We have learned new information about a wreck that killed a young central Kentucky man.

Kentucky State Police now say the passenger injured in the wreck in Franklin County is a 17-year-old boy.

His name hasn't been released.

The coroner says 21-year-old Matthew Miller of Frankfort died in the crash Monday night on Woodlake Road, near the Scott County line.

Police say Miller became pinned under the vehicle.

"On both sides of the roadway, there's about a four foot drop," said Trooper Ron Turley. "They hit a tree, and the vehicle landed right on its top."

"The driver was partially ejected and underneath the car," Turley said.

Investigators say Miller wasn't wearing a seat belt. The passenger was wearing one, though.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
