Notice of Public Hearing - Frankfort Transit

The City of Frankfort Transit will hold a public hearing at 9:00 a.m(EST) Monday, December 20, 2010 at its Public Safety Building at 300 West Second Street, Frankfort, Kentucky. The purpose of the public hearing is the consideration of applications for Federal Transit Administration funds for Sections 5309, 5311, 5316 and 5317 current fiscal year through June 30, 2012. The meeting is fully accessible for the disabled.

The descriptions of the projects for the City of Frankfort Transit are as follows:

5309 Capital ($1,225,000.00 - total) - Frankfort Transit will be applying for funding to construct a wash-bay, purchase vehicles and possibly bus shelters as funds are available.

5311 Operating: The City of Frankfort will be applying for operating funds of $1,072,270.00 of which the City is obligated to cover 50% ($536,135.00) and the Federal Government will pay 50% ($536,135.00).

5316 Operating: The City of Frankfort will be applying for operating funds of $200,000.00 of which the City is obligated to cover 50% ($100,000.00) and the Federal Government will pay 50% ($100,000.00).

5317 Operating: The City of Frankfort will be applying for operating funds of $200,000.00 of which the City is obligated to cover 50% ($100,000.00) and the Federal Government will pay 50% ($100,000.00).

There will be no significant environmental impact as a result of these projects. Regulations regarding the disabled and the elderly will be complied with. Comments may be made in person or through written submissions. Please send written submissions to Frankfort Transit, City of Frankfort, P.O. Box 697, 315 W.
