Saturday the National Socialist Movement will march one block to the Capitol steps and rally against illegal immigration.
Kentucky State Police troopers are working with local law enforcement in Frankfort to make sure safety is the number one priority during the controversial group's protest. They tell WKYT extra troopers, Frankfort police officers, and sheriff's deputies will be near the Capitol Saturday. They're not sure how many people will participate or watch the protest, but they do say a security plan is already in place to prevent any violent behavior.
"There's always a plan in place. The idea is safety for everyone that's involved, those doing the protesting and those that may show up to see or those that just may be visiting our capital. So there's always a safety plan in place regardless of the group and that's no different for tomorrow as well", says Kentucky State Police Lt. David Judd.
