Police say three gas station robberies may be related

Frankfort Police are searching for a man who may be targeting gas stations in the area. They say the robber has attacked at least one clerk.

An employee at the Swifty Oil on Versailles Road says a man demanded cash Monday around 9:00pm. The victim told police the robber hit him with some type of pipe or wrench before running off behind the building.

A little more than an hour later, police got a call of another robbery, this one at the Speedy Mart on East Main Street. The clerk there told police the robber pointed a gun and demanded cash before running off toward the Crestwood subdivision.

The victims of both robberies described the man as black, 5’8” to 5’10”. They say he was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and some type of dark mask and dark pants and blue latex gloves.

Frankfort Police say that description matches the man wanted for robbing a Speedy Mart on Wednesday night August 17. They're asking anyone that may have information on the robberies to call them at 502-875-8523. You can also call Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 502-875-8648 or contact them on the web at www.frankfortcrimestoppers.com.
