A grand jury indicted two men in a gas station robbery that happened earlier this year. The crime happened back on February 12th, at the Swifty Gas Station on Versailles Road in Frankfort.
The clerk told police that when he bent down to get cigarettes out of a storage container, that a robber pushed an object, believed to be a knife, against his back. The victim told police that the robber removed money from his pockets and then took off out of the store. Police searched the area with a K-9 but did not find the suspect.
On Wednesday, a Frankfort police detective presented a case to the grand jury that resulted in two indictment.
26-year old Stephen Smallwood of Lawrenceburg is charged with robbery and being a persistent felony offender.
25-year old David Wallace of Frankfort is charged with complicity to robbery and falsely reporting an incident. Wallace was the Swifty employee who reported the robbery to Police.
