A tractor trailer has overturned on I-64 in Franklin County. The crash happened Tuesday morning near the 50 mile marker, not far from the Shelby County line.
The driver was hauling 40,000 pounds of potatoes when the crash happened.
Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton says emergency crews will need to shut down lanes from time to time in order to get the crash cleaned up. Police are asking drivers to avoid eastbound I-64 in that area.
It's expected that there will be traffic impacts well into the afternoon.
