Police across Kentucky are on alert, looking for those who shot and killed a 16-year-old boy.
Neighbors of the Austin Park Apartments in Frankfort tell WKYT they heard the gunfire around 1:40 a.m. Monday.
Frankfort police collected multiple shell casings in the parking lot and confirm the victim suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim's identity hasn't been released.
Police are searching for two men connected to the deadly shooting.
Officers tell us they have discontinued the search for a white, two door Honda seen driving away from the scene. It has checked out.

Neighbors are anxious for answers and can't understand why the sixteen year old was shot to death.
"I have kids of my own. So that's really disturbing. Sad that somebody that young," says Jessica Hall, a resident in the Austin Park Apartments.
"I mean I have my daughter at her grandmothers. I can't even be around my daughter 'cause I'm scared to bring her home, says a neighbor, Christal Woolums.
The Franklin County Coroner confirms that the shooting victim is Jafari Hart.
