Thousands of child porn images found on Kentucky man's computer

Frankfort, Ky. (WKYT) -A Kentucky man is arrested at his home in Frankfort, after investigators say they found 3,000 images and video of child pornography.

Edward Lewis, 45, now faces four counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.

Investigators from Attorney General Jack Conway's Cybercrimes Unit made the arrest after an under cover investigation that began in June 2012.

The arrest citation states that Lewis admitted to officers that he used file sharing software to search for and download videos.

Some neighbors were shocked to learn about the arrest of Edward Lewis.

"You have to be out here watching your kids. You don't know what could ever happen. I mean, you can't have freedom much anymore to have your kids run and play, like I was when I was young," says Michael Ranbow, a neighbor.

Since its creation in June of 2008, General Conway's Cybercrimes Unit has launched nearly 300 child pornography investigations and seized approximately 350,00 child pornographic images and video from the Internet.

Lewis is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow in Franklin District Court.
