GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - A Cash Ball ticket worth $1,000,000 was sold in Georgetown Wednesday night.

The $1,000,000 ticket matched all four numbers and the Cash Ball number in the May 22nd drawing.

The winning numbers were: 2-5-7-11 and the Cash Ball was 18.

To win the $200,000 top prize players can wager $1 per play. In this case, the player wagered $5 to win $1 million. Players can also win the game’s top prize of $100,000 by wagering 50 cents per play.

The winning ticket was sold at Clark’s Pump N Shop #85 at 100 Canewood Center Drive in Georgetown.

Just as luck would have it, the newly made million walked in as we were shooting video! The winner, who told me he wants to stay anonymous, was visibly overwhelmed with joy.

With a lump in his throat and a smile on his face, the gentleman who clerks describe as a daily lottery ticket buyer, told me quote "this couldn't have come at a better time" his wife is in the middle of battling cancer.

Be it a stroke of luck or a gift from above, those who frequent the store say they are happy for the individual who won.

"If I won a million I'd share the wealth and help whoever I can," explains Carl Mullins, Scott County resident, "I'm happy for this family, I hope it helps them and I hope in turn, they can help others."

The retailer will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
