Deadly stabbing ruled a homicide

Investigators are still piecing together clues into what led up to a deadly stabbing.

Georgetown Police found 26-year-old Maxwell Pomeroy dead Monday at a home on East Washington Street.

His girlfriend was questioned, but no one has been charged.

On Tuesday, the Scott County coroner ruled Pomeroy's death a homicide, saying he died from multiple stab wounds to the chest and back.

Georgetown Police are still going through evidence taken from the home Pomeroy shared with his girlfriend, Mindy Turner.

Police took Turner in for questioning after the stabbing. They're still waiting on toxicology results from Pomeroy's body.
