Vigil held for ATV crash victim

Dozens gathered together Sunday night to remember Rebecca Adam's 8 year-old daughter Destiny Haney. Haney died Saturday afternoon in an ATV accident at her brother's birthday party in Scott County.

"She was loved by so many people. She was my everything. She made every body's frown turn upside down, made them smile," says Adams.

Haney had just started 3rd grade at Deep Springs Elementary in Lexington. Everyone at Sunday's vigil wore purple ribbons for Haney. Jimmy Henry and his wife wrapped ribbons around the trees to remind the family of the support the community is giving them during this difficult time.

"It was her favorite color and we've been friends of the family for a few years and we just wanted to do our part and help out and show our respects," says Henry.

Haney's family asks that all donations be made in the form of money or school supplies for students at Deep Springs Elementary in honor of Destiny.
