Police call it the best day they've had in years.
Sheriff's deputies and Kentucky State Police say they've seized more than a million dollars worth of illegal marijuana, all growing in northern Scott County. Officers have been scouring Scott County by land and air, trying to find the mature marijuana plants waiting to be harvested.
Police found more than 400 plants valued at at least $2,000 per plant. In the last few days, investigators say they've seized more than 630 plants total, valued at $1.2 million.
Investigators say many times, marijuana is planted on someone's land without that person's knowledge and it is often difficult to track down the growers.
