FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Supreme Court has upheld the
reprimand and temporary suspension of a family court judge
disciplined for her actions in three separate cases from 2007, 2008
In its opinion issued Thursday in Frankfort, the court affirmed
a decision by the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission to suspend
for 45 days without pay and reprimand Judge Tamra Gormley of the
14th Judicial Circuit.
The 14th circuit includes Bourbon, Scott and Woodford counties.
Gormley had appealed the commission's decision to discipline her
in the three cases, including one involving child support payments
related to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Plant employees, their
spouses and ex-spouses. She was appointed to the bench in 2007.
