Police arrest a man wanted in Ohio for murder in central Kentucky.
Law enforcement across Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee had been on the lookout for 38-year-old Shawn Kortz, Sunday morning. He's wanted for questioning in the beating death of a man in Moraine, Ohio. Police say the body of 48-year-old Michael Hollon was found in Kortz's home early Sunday morning.
The two had been friends and neighbors. Authorities say alcohol was a factor in the beating. Hollon's body was discovered after Kortz called his wife and told her to check the house.
Kortz was arrested in Georgetown just after noon Sunday. Investigators had been tracking his cell phone as he headed down I-75. His Dodge Durango was spotted near exit 129, but authorities say he didn't surrender easily and led them on a chase. Not soon after, he was taken into custody. Authorities found a loaded gun in the front seat of Kortz's car. He is being held at the Scott County Detention center.
