Round after round of snow has created quite the problem for drivers and state road crews. You've likely seen an increase of potholes around the area, especially along the interstate.
Our crew drove north along Interstate 75 Thursday morning, and counted about a dozen potholes between Lexington and Georgetown. Many of those potholes are already being patched up. The Kentucky Department of Transportation says they have had a lot of calls and complaints about potholes along I-75. Thursday is the day for them to patch up those holes. Crews always have to wait for the weather to cooperate - they can only repair potholes when there's no snow or ice in the way.
If you're driving along Interstate 75 Thursday afternoon, expect to see transportation crews making repairs. Crews do have to close off portions of the road when they're fixing potholes, so drivers can expect a few delays.
