A driver now faces several charges following a crash in Scott County that killed his passenger.
Just before 8 p.m. Sunday, Kentucky State Police say a car, driven by 38-year-old Brian Pollard of Louisville, crashed on westbound Interstate 64, near mile marker 70.
Police say the car left the right shoulder of the road, struck a rock cut, then appeared to have rolled several times.
Firefighters had to extricate a passenger, 40-year-old Peggy Williamson of London.
Williamson was taken to UK Hospital, where police say she died late Sunday night.
Pollard was also taken to UK Hospital to be treated. After being released, he was arrested and charged with DUI, having no insurance, and failure to notify an address change to the Department of Transportation.
Police say more charges against Pollard may be filed. He was lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
