A woman is now in critical condition after crashing her motorcycle in Georgetown over the weekend.
Family members say 39-year-old Samantha Rogers was about 500 feet from home, when her motorcycle crashed on Louisa Lane, behind Indian Acres Shopping Center, Saturday.
Investigators say Rogers somehow lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to flip. She was thrown about 50 feet.
A man driving by found her, and called for help. Rogers was then rushed to UK Hospital.
Rogers' family members say she is in a coma, and has not been conscious since the accident.
Her brother says she has multiple skull fractures, bleeding in her brain, broken ribs, a broken collar bone, and severe bruising and scrapes.
Investigators say Rogers was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Family members say Rogers was a school bus driver in Scott County for years, and has been a nurse for the past 10 years.
She is currently the nursing director at the Grant County Jail.
"She doesn't ever meet a stranger," Rogers' brother, Daniel Rogers, said. "She's one of those people you meet and you love. She's got the biggest heart in the world, and she wants everybody to be okay and she'd give you the shirt off her back. She really believes in helping people."
Rogers is listed in critical condition at UK Hospital.
Her family members say they are grateful for the outpouring of support from their community.
