A Scott County sheriff's deputy is recovering after crashing his cruiser early Friday morning.
Emergency crews say the deputy's cruiser slid off Stamping Ground Road near Georgetown around 5:30 a.m., then ran into a ditch.
The deputy was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. His name was not released.
Stamping Ground Road was closed for about an hour while crews cleaned up the crash.
