The city of Georgetown got their first glimpse of the proposed budget for next year Thursday night.
With revenue in Georgetown down over 16% in the past two years, the proposed $17 million dollar budget includes no pay raises for city workers.
Any new vehicles for the police department must also be funded through traffic ticket proceeds.
There was good news however, there is expected to be no layoffs according to the budget.
Many joint agencies in the city also saw cuts in this years budget.
The city council will meet on Monday to begin discussing any changes to it.
