A truck driver experienced a close call early Friday morning when he narrowly escaped a fire in his big rig.
The driver was alseep while the truck was parked at J.P. Freightlines on Delaplain Road in Georgetown.
The driver, Lonnie Miller, says he woke up surrounded by smoke and saw flames shooting from the front of the truck.
He grabbed some belongings and got out all right.
Firefighters think the fire started in the engine.
