A company has announced plans to move its manufacturing operations from New Jersey to central Kentucky, creating 43 new full-time jobs.
Governor Steve Beshear's office says Vogelsang Corporation will relocate to Georgetown, and move into the former Johnson Controls facility on Main Street Extended.
"Kentucky is delighted to welcome Vogelsang as its newest corporate citizen," said Gov. Beshear in a news release. "Vogelsang's new Georgetown manufacturing operation represents 43 new full-time jobs for Kentuckians and a multi-million investment. We are pleased to partner with Vogelsang and the Scott County community to make this project possible."
According to the governor's office, Vogelsang is a major supplier to several markets, by making steel-based products such as RollPins, Coil Pins, hydro-bushings, weld-eye rings, and agricultural bushings.
The governor's office says the company's customers are mainly located in the mid-south region of the U.S.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has preliminarily approved Vogelsang for tax incentives up to $900,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program.
