In Scott County Thursday night, folks had a mix of snow and rain coating the roads, making driving difficult. Dispatchers had to send out several crews to help stranded drivers.
"They've been pretty slick," said Michael Sharpe with Sharpe's Towing. Sharpe was going up and down Interstate 75, looking for wrecks, anyone that needed help. "Most of the time it's people sliding, just sliding off into ditches and stuff like that. Little fender benders and different things. Usually people driving too fast."
Scott County first responders told 27 NEWSFIRST there were less than half a dozen problems on the roads Thursday night. The worst, they said, were just a few fender benders, people sliding into one another.
"Usually just try to go out and ride around and try to help people as much as we can. We like the business, but we don't like to see people get hurt," said Sharpe.
