Driver ejected after hitting utility truck

A busy Georgetown intersection has reopened, following a crash that sent a man to the hospital with critical injuries.

A car and utility truck hit around 11 a.m. Wednesday along U.S. 62 at the Bypass, also known as McClelland Circle.

The driver of the car of the was ejected out of the window. Police tell us he suffered severe head trauma. The victim, who deputies identify as William Herzner, was taken to UK Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the utility truck was not injured.
