After weeks of uncertainty over whether or not there'd even be a football season this year, people who live in Georgetown say they're thrilled that Bengals fever is finally here.
For the past 14 years, the Cincinnati Bengals have called Georgetown their preseason home, but with the NFL lockout threatening the season, some people who live in Georgetown were worried.
"Yeah we were all kind of watching and wondering will it come or not and hoping and praying that it would," says Judy Giannasio.
Judy Giannasio's prayers were answered as the players and owners came to an agreement, football fans here in Georgetown are ready for training camp! The owners of Fava's Restaurant even have special dish honoring their favorite pro football team.
"We have a burger we do just especially for the Bengals while they're in town. It's a half-pound burger with Swiss cheese and melted mushrooms and special sauce and curly fries," says Sheri Gruchow of Fava's.
Gruchow says even the players themselves are fans of the Bengal Burger.
"We get a lot of players coming in to get it. Last year we had nine of them come in and get that," says Gruchow.
And even some of Sheri's youngest customers are already sharing some preseason advice for the team.
"They're probably going to have to get a better wide receiver and keep on practicing," says 10-year-old Landon Cochran.
Today is the official move-in day for the players. Tomorrow they'll hit the field.
