Polls opened Tuesday morning in Georgetown, where voters will decide whether to expand alcohol sales.
Alcohol has been sold at restaurants for the last 12 years in Georgetown.
If voters approve expanded sales Tuesday, packaged alcohol will also be sold at convenient and grocery stores.
Supporters say Georgetown is losing too much money in alcohol sales to Lexington.
Opponents say expanding alcohol sales would hurt younger people.
