A grand jury has indicted a former sheriff's deputy accused of stealing drugs that were being held as evidence.
Former Scott County Deputy Jeremy Day has been charged with theft of a controlled substance and theft by unlawful taking.
Last September, the sheriff's office says they noticed the drugs missing from storage and began an investigation.
They say Day resigned after being interviewed about the case.
