Robbers hit two central Kentucky businesses down the road from one another--just hours apart.

The first happened at the Subway restaurant near the Cherry Blossom subdivision in Georgetown around 10:00 Tuesday night.

Not long after the robber hit the sandwich shop, employees at a Shell gas station on Outlet Center Drive found themselves victims of a robbery, too.

Two masked men, carrying guns, held up the clerks at the gas station's Apple Market, which also has a Subway restaurant inside.

Surveillance video shows two men, with dark masks and clothing, pointing handguns toward the clerks as they enter the convenience store just before midnight.

First, they approach the Shell gas station register, and even go behind the counter to get the money. One of the robbers puts the cash in a blue bag.

The men then rob the Subway register. The restaurant employee backs away, holding her hands in the air.

"The employees were in shock," says Apple Market Director of Security Michael Williams, "Just like anybody would be that had a weapon pointed at them."

The two men then run away with the cash in the blue bag, which has a white "UK" logo.

The video surveillance system from the first Subway robbed wasn't working, but police say the robber is a clean-cut, white man, wearing a brown Bengals hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes. He was armed with a gun.

Police say he put the stolen cash in a McDonald's paper bag. Investigators say the two robberies do not appear to be related.

There have been no arrests.
