Georgetown Police are looking for an armed man who held up the Quick Stop at the corner of Pocahontas and Broadway.
The owner says he now believes the suspect has been looking for an opportunity to rob the store for a little while.
He says Thursday night, he got a call from his employee moments after she called 9-1-1.
"She told me a guy came in with a gun and told her to open the register and face the floor and to count to 100," explained Mamoon Sakkijha.
The man responsible for the crime can be seen on surveillance tape wearing a hoodie, black mask and carrying a black gun.
While employees don't recognize him as a regular, the Sakkijha says his timing was just about perfect; leading him to believe the man was familiar with the store.
"I usually have 2 employees," Sakkijha explained. "But we leave at 8 and another comes in at 10, to clean up. I guess they target between 8 and 10 or so, before the other employee comes in."
Sakkijha describes his employee that was held up as brave, saying he's just glad she's OK.
Police believe the man did have a getaway car parked near the store.
