LEXINGTON, KY – MERIDIAN-CHILES announced that Jeff Anderson has been hired as Vice President of Sales.

Jeff rejoined the Lexington Herald-Leader in November of 2010 as Vice President of Advertising. He began his newspaper career with the Lexington Herald-Leader in 1997 as a part-time telemarketing salesperson in Circulation. During his time in Lexington, Jeff held a variety of positions in Circulation and Advertising. Prior to re-joining the Lexington Herald-Leader, he served in various management positions in Classified and Retail Advertising at the Arizona Republic, Cincinnati Enquirer, Palm Beach Post, Augusta Chronicle, Savannah Morning News and The Commercial Appeal.
During Jeff’s career, he has focused on pushing the digital envelope. He has been part of a team that won the following awards: an Editor & Publisher EPPY Award for the best Online Classified website in 2005, New Media Federation Digital Edge Award in 2006 and Presstime Magazine’s Best Practices Award for New Media in 2007. Additionally, he has served on the board of directors for the Newspaper Association of America’s Classified Federation and the Southern Classified Advertising Manager’s Association.
He grew up in Harlan, Kentucky, and attended the University of Kentucky.
Jeff and his wife, Heather, reside in Lexington with their two dogs.
