The grand opening celebration of the new Kroger Marketplace store located at 106 Marketplace Circle, will take place on Friday, November 2nd at 8:00 A.M. with an official ribbon cutting event.
The new 123,000 square foot store replaces the current 60,000 square foot Washington Square store. This move has created 160 new jobs; the new store will employ more than 300 associates.
“Our associates are extremely proud to bring this beautiful Marketplace store to the city of Georgetown and Scott County. It is long overdue” said Kroger Store Manager Mike Borders. “We are proud to be part of the first Kroger Marketplace in the area and look forward to serving our customers in this wonderful new facility.”
The 123,000 square foot Kroger Marketplace Store, includes everything you have come to expect from Kroger and much more. Specialty departments include Furniture, Home Décor, Bed and Bath items, Kitchen Place, Office and School Supplies, Toy Department, Baby World, The Bistro, Salad Bar, Fresh Sushi, Beverage Bar, Floral Shop, Natural Foods, Fred Meyer Jewelers, and a Pharmacy.
The grand opening festivities at the new Marketplace store will continue for several weeks. Grand opening day through Wednesday, November 7th, the first 500 customers beginning at 8:00 A.M. will receive a FREE item. The item to be given away on Friday, November 2nd, is a 5 lb. Clifty Farms Sliced Bone-In Country Ham. Shoppers will automatically be registered to win a Grand Prize Holiday Home Décor Package, valued at more than $2500. (Drawing will take place on November 18th).
