SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - He says he had nothing to do with it. On Tuesday, a man on trial for a second time in the murder of his parents took the stand in his own defense.

James Anthony Gray's murder trial has been going on since last week in Scott County.

Police say he shot his parents, James and Vivian Gray, in their home in 2007.

Gray, 43, told the court that investigators bullied him into confessing to the murders.

"I'm getting real upset because he's saying I killed my mom and dad and I didn't," says Gray. "I knew I didn't do it and he kept saying I did."

Gray says investigators faked evidence and convinced him he must have blacked out and killed his parents, causing him to admit to the crime.

He took back that story and stands firm that he has no idea what happened.

Gray is expected to be on the stand for much of Tuesday night. Cross examination from prosecutors began after three in the afternoon.

Following a break for the jury just before five, the judge told jurors to tell their families that it would be a long evening.

His first trial took place last year. It ended in a hung jury.
