Easter morning got off to a scary start for a Dairy Queen manager. He was opening the store, on Finley Drive in Georgetown, when a man with a weapon held him up.

Police say the manager was counting money from the safe, when he heard banging from the side of the store.
He thought it was employees and went to let them in. Instead, Georgetown Police say a an dressed in a ski mask, dark clothes and gloves held him up with a shiv.

Police say the manager did exactly what he should have.

"He cooperated. He got the guy in and out of the store as quickly as possible. We've got pretty decent video. Hopefully, someone will recognize clothing from the video and give us some leads," said Lt. Robert Swanigan, with the Georgetown Police Department.

Police say the robber got so much cash, he had to empty the bag and used a trash can to get it all. In addition to getting money from Dairy Queen, the robber also snatched a donation jar for the Salvation Army, containing about $100.
