Police chase after prison escapees

Police have narrowed in on two prison escapees who have been on the run for days.

Anthony Kendrick and Jerry Nation walked away Sunday from Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington.

Late Tuesday in Spencer County, police recovered a vehicle investigators say the two stole from Rogers Gap in Scott County.

Police say two troopers attempted to pull the men over, but they would not stop.

The inmates eventually abandoned the car and ran away. They have not been seen since.

Police say they don't know if the men are armed, but they should be considered dangerous.

"What we want the public to know is that these individuals are in this area, and to make sure they have their doors locked, don't leave the cars running, make sure they don't leave any means that these individuals could use their vehicles to escape," Kentucky State Police Trooper Ron Turley said.

The men were in prison for burglary.
