GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - A very busy winter for road crews in Scott County continues into March.
Road Supervisor J.R. Brandenburg calls it frustrating. He says everyone is tired of the snow.
"We'll do whatever it takes to get the roads clean," said Brandenburg.
Their efforts started around 7 p.m. Sunday and will likely continue into Monday afternoon. It's why Brandenburg gave his crew time to rest up before heading out.
"You don't want to get people fatigued and too worn down," explained Brandenburg.
The department covers 275 lane miles of the county. It's a routine they saw a lot this winter.
"I think we've been out 27 times," said Brandenburg.
The county's salt supply is doing well. They have a few hundred tons, it should be enough for this winter storm.
