Storms rolled in as many people were heading to work or school

Updated: Wed 12:37 PM, Apr 27, 2011

This morning's storms moved through at a time when many people were out on the road, heading to work.

Travelers along Interstate 64 in Scott and Woodford Counties dealt with fierce winds and heavy rain.

Scott County Emergency Management officials tell us a funnel cloud was spotted near I-75. Luckily, nothing touched down.

A funnel cloud was also spotted near Georgetown College.

We talked to one construction worker in central Kentucky, who says he probably isn't going to get much work done today, because of the weather. He also says his crew is behind on their work, because of the recent rain and storms.
