Police say two men managed to steal thousands of dollars worth of jewelry in broad daylight. The theft happened at Cravens and Lewis Jewelers in downtown Georgetown.
Surveillance cameras captured the two men that entered the store. One distracted the clerk, while his accomplice began cleaning out displays. The man eventually walked out of the store with a a tray holding nearly a dozen rings valued at almost $30,000.
The clerk didn't realize that she had been robbed until about an hour after the heist.
"They made no attempts to really mask their identity. We've got pretty good surveillance video that were hoping we can get out to the public and somebody's going to have an idea who these guys are," said Lt. Robert Swanigan with Georgetown Police.
If you recognize one or both of these guys you're urged to call Georgetown Police at (502) 863-7826.
