Whoever robbed Amerson Farms in Georgetown knew exactly what they were doing. They went straight for a display case full of expensive collectible knives. Knives worth thousands of dollars.
The store's alarm went off around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. When the owners arrived they found the front door locks busted and the window shattered.
Police found the crowbar the thief had used lying on the floor.
The only thing disturbed inside the store was a display case full of Case XX knives. The collector knives ranged in price from $26 up to almost $250.
Thirty-one knives in all, a total value just shy of $4,500.
Knowing the thieves came into the shop with a target has led police and the owners to believe they had been in the store before.
"Could have came in to buy feed and seen the knives. Could have came in for mulch. Or maybe they were a knife person and they cased the place," said owner Emma Kleinhenz.
Georgetown Police continue to process evidence from the scene, but at this point they hope someone will see these knives and give them a call.
