HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - One Harlan County business owner is offering a $1,000 reward to catch the person who stole from him.
Harlan Police say someone stole thousands of dollars worth of items from Hamrick Bowling Center.
Blanton Hamrick says last Thursday when the business was closed, someone threw a rock through the side door at Hamrick Bowling Center in Harlan.
He says then the man smashed the arcade games and got away with the prizes inside including iPads, iPods, and other expensive items.
"It's going to hurt for a few weeks. It was about three grand worth of stuff," said Hamrick.
Harlan Police officers got there one minute after the alarm went off but the burglar was already gone.
"Looks like in and out fairly quick. They knew what they were after, someone familiar with the bowling alley," said Harlan Police Chief Mike Thomas.
Police have leads but no suspects yet.
"A nearby witness says they saw a man on a four-wheeler so we're going to look into that," said Chief Thomas.
Hamrick is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
"I want people to realize if you break in here, you are going to get in trouble," Hamrick said.
Hamrick has already replaced the games but he says the stolen items hurt business.
"There are a lot of good people that come out and help support us but you always have that bad apple that comes always ruins something," Hamrick said.
Anyone with information on the burglary should call the Harlan Police Department.
The burglary did not affect the business hours. Hamrick Bowling Center is open on its regular schedule.
