Harlan County native named History Teacher of the Year

A Harlan County native has been named the 2012 Kentucky History Teacher of the Year.

Ron Adkisson teaches eighth graders at South Oldham Middle School.

Adkisson began his career at Oil Springs Elementary in Paintsville.

He will now be in the running for National History Teacher of the Year this fall.
