HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - The Kentucky State Police "Cram the Cruiser" campaign collected 62 tons of food statewide!
The Harlan Post collected the most this year! Post 10 troopers collected 29,944 pounds of food in Bell, Knox, and Harlan counties.
"On behalf of Post 10 Harlan, we'd like to thank our local community, or local schools, several companies who helped donate food for cram the cruiser. It's another great year we can share this food with our communities," said Trooper Shane Jacobs.
The food goes to shelters, food banks, and churches in each Post area to help needy families.
