HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Harlan County Circuit Judge Russell Alred continues to fight a ruling made by the judicial conduct commission.
The Harlan Daily reports he has requested a rehearing with the Kentucky Supreme Court.
In July, the high court denied Alred's first appeal to overturn a ruling made last year by the judicial conduct commission.
The commission found Alred guilty on nine counts of judicial misconduct, saying he used his office for political and personal gain.
If the request for a rehearing is denied there will be no other option for Alred.
