A heavily traveled central Kentucky road is back open, after emergency crews spent hours cleaning up a crash.
A dump truck crashed on U.S. 127 in Mercer County, just north of Harrodsburg, early Monday morning.
Police say the truck's driver had just dropped off a load of black top in a construction area and had left without the bed of the truck where it was supposed to be.
The truck became tangled in telephone wires near Jackson Pike and overturned.
The driver wasn't hurt.
Lanes in both directions of the road were shut down for hours, forcing drivers in that area to take crowded detours during the morning rush hour.
U.S. 127 reopened around 9 a.m. Monday.
The crash also knocked out telephone service to the area.
