A boil water advisory will remain in effect for the entire city of Harrodsburg for the time being.
Officials in Harrodsburg had hoped to lift the advisory Wednesday night, but they now say it will continue until further notice.
Harrodsburg officials tested the water Wednesday, but the results came back inconclusive.
Another set of samples have been collected, but it will take 24 hours for those results to come back.
The boil water advisory went into effect Tuesday morning, so crews could work on a water main that connected to the city's water treatment plant.
Customers of the North Mercer Water District are also under a boil water advisory.
